Power System Analyzer for Win 9X

The software of power system analyzer, Saba, has been extensively used in Iranian regional electrical companies and other national industries. This software includes ten different calculating parts such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability and etc. Regarding to worldwide development and progress in software and hardware, these sections have been converted from FORTRAN to VC++ for Windows 9x. The primary reasons and advantages of this conversion are: I- Using main Windows9x utilities such as Graphics User Interface, system memory allocation, typical environment and etc. 2- Using benefits and extensive facilities of C++ such as object-oriented programming. This article is aimed to clarify these reasons in details; and also, it is intent to explain specifications of Saba concerning to its graphical, computational and informational units.
