Design and Implementation of Digital Three Phase Active and Reactive Electricity Meter

This paper presents the features of digital three phase electricity meters ( Active and Reacdve ) for domestic , industrial and commercial use . The meter capabilities are selected based on National Electrical Distribution System recommended specifications and the latest industrial standards . Some of the main features of this digital meter includes : tariff-based energy and maximum demand computation, hardware and software securities , load profile and self reading . The results of precision test and EMC test at Niroo Research Institute reference laboratory indicates that the technical specifications of this digital electricity meter completely agrees with the related IEC standards.
