The role of family cohesion and adaptability and emotion regulation in predicting social intimacy of female students

تأثير عملكرد خانواده به‌ويژه انسجام و انعطاف‌پذيري بر تنظيم عواطف فرزندان مي‌تواند پيامدهاي مهمي براي رشد روابط بعدي آن‌ها ازجمله روابط صميمانه اوايل جواني داشته باشد. هدف از پژوهش حاضر تعيين نقش انسجام و انعطاف‌پذيري خانواده و تنظيم عواطف در پيش‌بيني صميميت اجتماعي بود. بدين منظور 216 نفر از دانشجويان دختر دانشگاه الزهرا با استفاده از روش نمونه‌گيري در دسترس انتخاب شدند و به مقياس انسجام و انعطاف‌پذيري خانواده، پرسشنامه سبك عاطفي و مقياس صميميت اجتماعي پاسخ دادند. نتايج نشان داد كه صميميت اجتماعي با انسجام و انعطاف‌پذيري خانواده و مؤلفه‌هاي تنظيم عواطف رابطه مثبت معناداري دارد. همچنين، نتايج تحليل رگرسيون نشان داد كه متغيرهاي انعطاف‌پذيري خانواده و تنظيم عواطف نقش معني‌داري در پيش‌بيني صميميت اجتماعي دارند. به‌طوركلي، در خانواده‌هاي منسجم و انعطاف‌پذير فرزندان مجهز به ابزارهاي تنظيم مجدد يا متعادل كردن عواطف مي‌شوند كه اين ابزارها در هدايت موفق زندگي روزمره و برقراري روابط صميمانه با ديگران به آن‌ها كمك مي‌كند.

The impact of family function, especially cohesion and adaptability in the regulation of children’s emotion, can have significant implications for the development of their next relationships, including intimate relationships in early youth. The aim of this study was to determine the role of family cohesion and flexibility and emotions regulation in predicting social intimacy. For this purpose, 216 female students of Shiraz University and Al-Zahra University were selected by convenience sampling method and they respond to the family cohesion and adaptability scale, affective style questionnaire and social intimacy scale. The results showed that social intimacy has a significant positive correlation with the family cohesion and adaptability and with the all subscales of affective regulation. Also, regression analysis showed that family adaptability and affective regulation have a significant role in predicting social intimacy. In general, in cohesive and adaptive families, children are equipped with tools for rearranging or balancing emotions which help them succeed in managing their daily lives and establish intimate relationships with others.
