اين تحقيق با عنوان تبيين جامعه‌شناختي نقش نهادهاي مدني در برقراري دموكراسي محلي در شهر تهران سال 1395به روش پيمايش و با ابزار پرسشنامه انجام شد. امروزه به دليل گستردگي و پيچيدگي مسائل شهري و همچنين كسب تجارب گوناگون درزمينه شرايط تحقق پروژه ها و برنامه هاي شهري، جلب مشاركت هاي مردمي در راستاي دستيابي به اهداف مطلوب جوامع محلي، از ملزومات مديريت شهر است. از سويي، تجربه نشان داده كه تحقق امر مشاركت در معناي واقعي آن مستلزم نهادينه شدن و پايداري مشاركت است. امري كه با شكل گيري طيف تشكل ها و نهادهاي جامعه متقارن است. به‌بيان‌ديگر، گسترش و تعميق مشاركت هاي مردمي نيازمند سازمان‌دهي، نهادسازي و ايجاد شـرايط سـاختاري مناسـب است. فرضيه‌هاي مشاركت فرهنگي و اجتماعي با نهادهاي مدني رابطه معني‌داري مشاهده شد ولي بين نهادهاي مدني و مشاركت مديريتي، مشاركت در تصميم‌گيري و مشاركت مشاوره‌اي رابطه معني‌داري وجود نداشت. در آزمون رگرسيون ضريب تعيين تعديل‌شده بيش از 50 درصد به‌پيش بيني دموكراسي محلي با متغير مستقل نهادهاي مدني پرداخت.

In the regression test, the adjusted coefficient of adjustment was more than 50% predicted by local democracy with Independent variable of civil institutions.
