حوزه هنر و زيبايي در حقيقت يكي از ميدان هاي جنجال برانگيز معارف بشري و در اين ميان از جان مايه هاي ادبيات و امري جدايي ناپذير از شعر است. زندگي و سرنوشت پيامبران و امامان به عنوان انسان هايي كامل ، يكي از غني ترين منابع الهام در شكل گيري آثار هنري و ادبي، همواره سرچشمه مضمون آفريني و تصويرسازي شاعران و نويسندگان در ادب فارسي بوده است. آنچه در اين مقاله به آن پرداخته مي شود، بررسي سرگذشت پيامبران و امامان در ديوان سليم از منظر زيبايي شناختي است. اين شاعر سبك هندي با طرح هنرمندانه اشعارش از سرگذشت 12 پيامبر و 3 امام بهره برده كه جلوه هاي زندگي حضرت خضر (ع) بالاترين بسامد را دارد. روش اين پژوهش از نظر ماهيت، توصيفي تحليلي و از نظر هدف نظري است و مطالب آن از طريق مطالعات كتابخانه اي و با هدف شناخت و معرفي جنبه هاي زيبايي شناختي در سيماي پيامبران و امامان در اين اشعار تدوين شده است. شعر اين شاعر سبك هندي از نمودهاي فراوان زيبايي شناسي و شيوه هاي بلاغي گوناگون مانند تشبيه و اغراق بهره جسته است. وي با اين شگردها، كوشيده است توصيف هايي دقيق و روشن از موضوع هاي شعري اش ارايه كند.
