Theological Prerequisites of Medical Science in Islamic Culture

رابطه بين پيش‌فرض‌هاي اعتقادي پزشكان مسلمان و دانش پزشكي آنان در پژوهش‌هاي «علم‌شناسي» كمتر مورد توجه قرار گرفته است. نويسنده با تحقيق در منابع پزشكي پزشكان مسلمان و از لابلاي مطالب علمي آنان، اصول و مباني كلامي را كه مفروض آنان بوده استخراج و به تبيين و تحليل آن پرداخته است. رويكرد مقاله نقلي و تحليلي و نگاهي از بيرون به حصار دانش پزشكي در فرهنگ اسلامي است. اين تحقيق نشان مي‌دهد كه پيش‌فرض‌هاي كلامي، هم در حدوث و هم در بقاء با انديشه‌هاي پزشكان مسلمان همراه بوده و خواسته يا ناخواسته چارچوب نظري ساحت معرفتي و عملي جهان‌نگري آنان را شكل داده‌اند. شهسواران دانش پزشكي در فرهنگ اسلامي فرمان‌بردار باورهاي ديني بودند كه در ضمير وجودشان بر آنان فرمان مي‌داده است. جهان از منظر پزشك مسلمان تهي از معنا و بي‌هدف نيست بلكه علاوه بر چهره مادي، چهره ملكوتي هم دارد.

The relationship between the doctrinal presuppositions of Muslim physicians and their medical knowledge has received less attention in scientific research. By researching the medical resources of Muslim physicians and examining their scientific materials, the author has extracted, explained and analyzed their assumed theological principles. This is an analytical article examining the boundaries of medical science in Islamic culture. The results show that theological presuppositions, both in occurrence and survival, have accompanied the ideas and thoughts of Muslim physicians and, willingly or unwillingly, have formed the theoretical framework of their epistemological and practical worldview. The great figures of the medical field in Islamic culture obeyed the religious beliefs commanded by their hearts. From the point of view of the Muslim physician, the world is not devoid of meaning and it is not purposeless. In addition to its material face, it also has a heavenly face.
