بحران ويروس كرونا (كوويد 19) كه چند ماهي است كه كشورهاي زيادي را درگير كرده، دنيا را براي هميشه تغيير خواهد داد. اين بيماري همان گونه كه افراد را از پا درآورده، بازارها را نيز مختل نموده است. قدرت سياسي، اقتصادي و نظامي كشورها را نيز براي هميشه دستخوش دگرگوني خواهد كرد.پيامد هاي ويروس كرونا روزبه روز گسترده تر مي شود تا آنجا كه بر زمينه هاي نظامي نيز تاثير گذاشته و باعث مي شود دولت ها در سياست هاي دفاعي و نظامي خود تجديدنظر كنند؛ با توجه به اولويت مراقبت هاي بهداشتي به نظر مي رسد بودجه ساير بخش ها ازجمله بخش دفاعي دستخوش تعديل و كاهش شود؛ كه اين كاهش، تاثير منفي بر زنجيره تامين دفاعي خواهد داشت.در اين گزارش سعي شده است تاثير اين بيماري بر زنجيره تامين دفاعي موردبررسي قرار گيرد؛ بر اين اساس تاثير اين بيماري بر بودجه و اعتبارات دفاعي، تجارت دفاعي، پروژه هاي دفاعي فراملي بيان شده است. سپس شوك هاي بيماري كرونا بر روش هاي توليد و زنجيره تامين دفاعي، كاهش تقاضاي محصولات نظامي براثر شيوع كرونا، تاثير بر صنايع دفاعي و درنهايت سناريوهاي پيش روي صنايع دفاعي در مقابله با بحران اين بيماري ارايه شده است
