Representation of the Britain's Role in Continuation of the Hegemonic System in the 21st Century

بريتانيا از دوران جنگ سرد تاكنون همواره ذيل چتر امنيتي ايالات متحده امريكا، سياست­ها و اهدافش را در عرصه­ هاي بين­المللي پي­ريزي و عملياتي مي­كند. مقامات لندن به گونه­اي تصميم ­سازي و اقدام مي­نمايند كه چتر حمايتي دولت امريكا تقويت شده و قدرت سلطه­ گري واشنگتن تداوم پيدا كند. اين پژوهش با هدف پاسخ­گويي به اين پرسش كه «بريتانيا چگونه از مؤلفه ­هاي قدرتش براي حفظ و استمرار نظام سلطه به رهبري ايالات متحده امريكا در قرن 21 استفاده مي­كند؟» به رشته تحرير درآمده است. نتايج بيانگر آنست كه لندن در چارچوب «روابط ويژه» خود با واشنگتن، از ديپلماسي عمومي، ديپلماسي رسانه­اي و روابط ديپلماتيك در راستاي توجيه رهبري فكري امريكا استفاده مي­نمايد. نيروهاي نظامي و سرويس­ هاي امنيتي انگليس به‌عنوان بخشي از قابليت‌هاي مادي آن در راستاي تقويت سلطه­ گري امريكا عمل مي­كنند. موقعيت بريتانيا در نهادهاي بين‌المللي به عنوان قطعه آخر اين پازل براي استمراربخشي سلطه ايالات متحده در نظر گرفته مي­شود.

Since Cold War era, Britain carried out its policies and objectives in regional and international arena under the security umbrella of the US. In this regard, decision-making and action of British authorities is formed in framework of the special relationship to cause reinforcement and continuation of the US dominance. Hence, this paper aims to answer the central question that: what is Britain's role in continuation of the Hegemonic System of the USA in the 21st century? Indeed, this article based on Hegemonic theory describes that UK role on the continuation of the dominance system of US is orchestrated through the separation of hard and soft areas. The result of this study indicates that London special relations with Washington led to facilitate political, military, economic and cultural purpose of the White House around the world and UK as a catalyst for American hard and soft measures, has tried to strengthen the domination of the US.
