ااگرجه بساري از مطالعات باليني و پيش باليني بطور گسترده ايي اثرات درماني عصاره هيدروالكلي عروسك پشت پرده physalis alkekengi) (را روي چندين بيماري نشان داده اند ، ولي تاكنون در ارتباط با خواص درماني عصاره هيدروالكلي اين گياه روي سرطان سينه اطلاعات زيادي وجود ندارد. در اين مطالعه اثرات درماني عصاره هيدروالكلي عصاره Physalis alkekengi روي سرطان سينه وابسته به گيرنده استروئيد روي مدل موشي بررسي شد. نتايج نشان داد كه عصاره عروسك پشت پرده به ويژه در دو غلظت (100mg/kg, 50 ,) داراي اثرات بازدارنگي روي رشد تومور سرطان سينه در گروه هاي تحت درمان با آن داشت. همچنين تغييرات بافت آسيب شناسي در تومورهاي سينه گروه هاي تحت درمان با عصاره p.alkekengi در مقايسه با گروه كنترل مشاهده شد. يافته ها نشان دادند كه عصاره گياه دارويي عروسك پشت پرده داراي اثرات مؤثري روي درمان سرطان سينه وابسته به گيرنده استروئيد در موش هاي ماده نژاد Balb/c مي باشد..
