ارزيابي و توسعه پايدار عمدتا دو ركن جدايي ناپذير قلمداد مي شوند كه با همكاري هم درحل مشكلات اجتماعي، اقتصادي و منابع مهم كه بخش زيادي از سكونت گاه هاي شهري و روستايي جهان را درگير كرده اند، از اثربخشي بسيار زيادي برخوردار هستند توسعه پايداربه مفهوم حركت بر محور انسان - محيط است و توسعه امكانات اقتصادي با توجه به ملاحظات محيطي و عدالت اجتماعي را مورد توجه قرار مي دهد شهرهاي مياني با توجه به شرايط منطقه‌اي و محلي كه در آن قرار مي‌گيرند و با پذيرش كاركردهايي كه از جنبه‌هاي مختلف سازماني- نهادي ، خدماتي ، جمعيتي ، زيست ‌محيطي، مديريت‌ سرزمين ، اجتماعي، اقتصادي و فضايي برعهده مي‌گيرند اهميت و جايگاه ويژه‌اي را در سلسله ‌مراتب سكونت‌گاهي داشته و به عنوان پل ارتباطي بين شهرهاي بزرگ و سكونت گاه‌هاي رده پايين و تسهيل‌كننده جريان‌ هاي مختلف عمل مي‌كنند پژوهش حاضر به بررسي وضعيت پايداري روستاهاي حوزه نفوذ شهر مياني سقز از سه بعد اقتصادي ، اجتماعي، و محيطي با توجه به شاخص هاي مطرح شده مي پردازد.شهر مياني سقز به دو حوزه نفوذ مستقيم و حوزه نفوذ غير مستقيم تقسيم شده است كه با توجه به هر حوزه ، با استفاده از روش تصادفي اعداد روستاهاي نمونه انتخاب شده با توجه به ابعاد ذكر شده مورد ارزيابي قرار مي‌گيرندروش تحقيق در اين پژوهش دو روش، آزمون t-test و مدل ahp استفاده شده است كه درادامه با طرح سولات و فرضيات تحقيق و در نهايت آزمون و تحليل نتايج مشخص شد روستاهاي واقع در حوزه نفوذ در سطح متوسطي قرار دارد.
