در نقد آثار ادبي، توجه به ساختار شعر و مسايل زباني، خواننده را به نتيجه­ اي مطلوب در فهم و تفسـير محتوا، مضمون و انديـشه سخـنوري، رهنمون مي ­شود. يكي از مسايل نوين زبان ­شناسي در حوزه نقد متون فارسي، واكاوي انحراف از نرم و عدول از هنجارهاي زباني است كه در كلام هنرمندان صاحب سبك و نوآور، بسامد چشم­گيري دارد. بيدل دهلوي از شاعران صاحب سبكي است كه با تاكيد بر ابهام در شعر و پذيرش مضامين و ساختارهاي نوگرايانه سبك هندي، تصاوير تازه­اي را براي دست يافتن به «معني بيگانه» ارايه داده است. اين مقاله بر آن است تا مضامين و ساختارهاي ديرياب را كه در لباس تشبيه، استعاره، تشخيص، پارادوكس، حس ­آميزي و مخالف­ خواني خود نمايي مي­كنند، در شعر بيدل دهلوي تشريح نمايد.
