The article considers the regularities of the depiction of the ancient Slavs by the Russian poetry of the 19th century, which, like literature in General, was a factor in the national consciousness of the era of Poets, based on the perception of the world and the culture of the ancestors of the Russian people, build an artistic concept, where the special inherent in a particular time is recognizable and after many centuries, helping to clarify the metaphysical depth of the Russian world view as a whole. Poets created their works in the context of philosophical ideas about Russia, its way in the world history, which existed at that time. The value components of the life of the ancient Slavs as identification signs of the distant nineteenth century, considered through the ideals of modern reality for the poets, served as an impulse to the poetic understanding of national life, the fate of the Fatherland and the people living in it.
