فضاي تحقيق و پژوهش در دانشگاهها و موسسات آموزش عالي با سازمان هاي متولي تحقيق و پژوهش تفاوت دارد. در دانشگاهها و موسسات آموزش عالي بيشتر بر مفهوم معلم و استاد پژوهش محور تاكيد ميشود. معلم پژوهش محور مفهومي است كه اهميت آن باعث شده است دانشگاهها و وزارتخانه هاي متولي امور آموزشي و پژوهشي برنامه ريزي هاي زيادي در خصوص هدايت معلمان و اساتيد دانشگاهي بسمت پژوهش محوري انجام دهند. تحقيق حاضر تلاشي است در جهت شناسايي اينكه فضاي تحقيق و پژوهش در دانشگاه علوم انتظامي تا چه حد به مفهوم معلم پژوهش محور نزديك است. در اين راستا تعداد 30 نفر از اعضاء هيئت علمي دانشگاه علوم انتظامي بعنوان نمونه تحقيق بصورت تصادفي انتخاب گرديدند. جهت جمع آوري داده ها از پرسشنامه استانداردشده بورگ و ليو (2013) استفاده و داده ها به دو شيوه كمي و كيفي مورد تجزيه و تحليل قرار گرفتند. نتايج حاصل از اين تحقيق نشان ميدهد كه ويژگي هاي كيفي يك تحقيق، فرهنگ تحقيق و پژوهش، مطالعه تحقيقات و پژوهش ها و نيز گرايش به انجام تحقيق و پژوهش از منظر جامعه آماري در اين تحقيق از مفاهيم معلم پژوهش محور فاصله دارند. همچنين بنظر ميرسد فضاي تحقيق و پژوهش در دانشگاه علوم انتظامي بيشتر به مولفه هاي تحقيق و پژوهش در موسسات پژوهشي نزديك است. نتايج اين تحقيق ميتواند در برنامه ريزي هاي آموزشي و پژوهشي در محيط دانشگاه علوم انتظامي استفاده شود.

Research culture at universities and institutes of higher education are different from that of other organizations. In universities and higher education institutions, more emphasis is placed on the concept of teacher and research-based teacher. Research-based teacher is a concept which led universities and ministries of education and research to allocate resources to teachers and university professors' research. The present research is an attempt to identify the extent to which the research field in the Police University is close to the concept of a research-based teacher. In this regard, 30 members of the faculty members of the University of Police were randomly selected. The data were collected using standardized questionnaires by Borg and Liu (2013) and analyzed by quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of this research show that the qualitative characteristics of a research, the research culture, study of research findings, as well as the tendency to research are distant from the concepts of a research-based teacher in the context of this study. It also seems that research culture in the IRI Police University is closer to research components of research institutes. The results of this research can be used in educational and research planning at the University of Police
