بررسي آموزش كتاب زبان تخصصي انگليسي به دانشجويان مهندسي آب و فاضلاب و مهندسي عمران با رويكرد مديريت آموزش محور

The Evaluation of ESP Textbook for the Students of Water and Wastewater Engineering & Civil Engineering: Management Based Education

مقاله پيش رو تلاشي است براي بررسي آموزش كتاب زبان تخصصي انگليسي دانشجويان مهندسي عمران با يك رويكرد مديريت آموزش محور كه توسط انتشارات سمت ايرانيان منتشر شده است. يك صد نفر از دانشجويان دانشگاه شهيد عباسپور و جامعه آماري پژوهش حاضر 30 نفر از اساتيدي كه اين كتاب بعنوان كتاب درسي آنها در نظر گرفته شده مي باشد.داده هاي جمع آوري شده با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS نسخه 21 تجزيه و تحليل شد. نتايج پژوهش نشان داد كه رضايت كلي در ميان شركت كنندگان با توجه به معيارهاي مورد بررسي كتاب درسي وجود دارد. با اين حال برخي نقاط ضعف كه شامل كيفيت پايين چاپ، كافي نبودن تمرينات، مثالها و غير جذاب بودن مطالب ويكنواختي و طبيعت خسته كننده كتاب كه توسط برخي دانشجويان اشاره شده است وجود دارد، همچنين اساتيد نيز به كيفيت پائين كتاب به عنوان نقطه ضعف اشاره كردند.

The present study is an attempt to evaluate the ESP book; English for the Students of Civil Engineering with the Management Based Education, is a textbook of SAMT publisher. One hundred university students in Shahid Abbas Pour University as well as 30 teachers who had this book as their course book participated in this study, the collected data were analyzed applying SPSS version 21. The result through descriptive and inferential statistics showed that there was an overall satisfaction among the participants from the course book regarding the criteria. However some weak points, namely, poor quality of printing, wide range of points, inadequacy of exercises, examples, and variability, unattractiveness, repetitiveness, and monotonous nature of the book, were pointed by students. The teachers also pointed the poor quality of the book as its weak point and were concerned that materials are not cultural-wise. Finally some recommendations were proposed to improve the book.
