چكيده فارسي :
مستندات و منابع تاريخ پزشكي دوره قاجار نشان ميدهند كه پزشكي و طبابت در ايران دوره قاجار به ويژه نيمه اول آن، در مقايسه با سدههاي پيش از آن، پيشرفتي حاصل نكرد. در اين دوره، همه بيماريها و دواها را بر دو قسم حارّ و بارد (سرد و گرم) تقسيم ميكردند و بر اين اساس، بيماران را مداوا ميكردند. در نتيجه براي كساني كه خواهان تحصيل در علم پزشكي مدرن بودند، خارج‌شدن از ايران و تحصيل در فرنگ، امري ضروري بود. سعيدخان كردستاني از جمله اين افراد است كه در مدت نه سال، به واسطه ارتباط با ميسيونرهاي مسيحي با طبابت و علم پزشكي روز، آشنايي مقدماتي پيدا كرد، پس از آن در سه دوره زماني متفاوت، براي تحصيل و تكميل دانش پزشكي خود به انگليس سفر كرد و زير نظر پزشكان انگليسي، دورههاي تخصصي كالبدشكافي، فيزيولوژي، نوعشناسي، ميكروبشناسي، تروپيكال، داروسازي و چشم‌پزشكي را گذراند و نام خود را به عنوان يكي از پزشكان متخصص و بااخلاق در تاريخ پزشكي ايران ثبت كرد. در اين مقالم برآنيم تا با روش توصيفي و با تكيه بر منابع كتابخانه‌ايي و دست‌نويس‌هاي سعيدخان، به بررسي زندگي پزشكي سعيدخان، دورههاي تخصصي پزشكي و خدمات و آثار و نظرات وي در اين زمينه بپردازيم.

Documentation and medical history of the Qajar period shows that
medical practice in Qajar period, especially the first half, compared
with its earlier centuries and did not progress. In addition in this
period all diseases and drugs were divided in twofold (hot and cold),
and patients were treated on the basis of this division. So, for those
who wish to study in modern medical science, travelling abroad and
studying in European countries were necessary. Saeed Khan
Kurdistani is one of the examples of these people who got the basic
introduction with medicine and medical science through contacting
with Christian missionaries during 9 years. As a result, in three
different time periods, he traveled to England to study and complete
his medical knowledge, and under the supervision of English
physicians, he had been specialized in anatomy, physiology, typology,
microbiology, tropical medicine and ophthalmology and his name was
recorded as one of the specialists and moral physicians in medical
history. In this paper, through descriptive method and resources of
library and Saeed Khan’s manuscripts, we try to investigate Saeed
Khan Kurdistan medical life, his specialized courses in Medical field
and his effects.
