از آنجا كه در كشور ما رشد سريع شهرنشيني و تقليد ناقص از شهرسازي دوران مدرنيته و برنامه ريزي شهري برون زا به انبوهي از نابساماني و معضلات شهري انجاميده، ضرورت داشته تا با شناخت علل نابساماني به تلاش براي جستجوي راه علاج همت گمارده شود . اين جستجو، از رهگذر شيوه هاي مدرن و آزموده شده مديريت نوين ميسور بوده كه يكي از اين شيوه ها كه برآمده از حكمروايي شايسته شهري است و به عنوان ابزاري در جهت تحقق آن به كار مي رود، "مديريت يكپارچه شهري" است. لذا پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسي سير و روند تعريف و تفسير مديريت يكپارچه شهري و جايگاه آن در مديريت شهري كشورمان و ضمن مرور بر نمونه هاي عملي ساير مناطق جهان، به واكاوي ضرورت هايي كه مديريت يكپارچه شهري را به عنوان راهكاري اجتناب ناپذير در مديريت شهرها مطرح مي سازد، پرداخته است. روش تحقيق در اين پژوهش روش توصيفي – تحليلي بوده كه داراي جنبه كاربردي مي باشد. گردآوري اطلاعات نيز به روش كتابخانه اي انجام گرفته است. نتايج حاصل از مطالعات نشان داده كه در شهرهاي ايران مديريت يكپارچه شهري تحقق نيافته، از طرف ديگر تشريك مساعي نهادي(هم افزايي نهادي) بعنوان پيش شرط پياده سازي مديريت يكپارچه در حال حاضر نامناسب بوده لذا غلبه بر انواع تفرق و پراكندگي موجود به عنوان يكي از ضرورت هاي مديريت يكپارچه شهري مطرح شده است.

Therefore, the present study aims at studying the process of defining and interpreting integrated urban management and its position in the city's management of our country, while reviewing the practical examples of other regions of the world, to explore the necessities of integrated urban management as an inevitable solution to urban management. Poses. The method of research in this research is descriptive-analytic method which has a practical aspect. Data collection is done in a library method. The results of studies have shown that unified urban management in cities of Iran has not been realized; on the other hand, institutional partnership (institutional coherence) as a prerequisite for the implementation of integrated management is inadequate at present, thus overcoming the existing types of dispersion as one The need for integrated urban management has been raised.
