«امنيت» از جمله موضوعاتي است كه به اقتضاي واقعيت‌هاي عيني و نظري جهان مدرن، تعاريف و ابعاد جديدي پيدا كرده است. طرح گستردة ابعاد نظري و مفهومي امنيت، در چند دهه اخير در محافل علمي از يك سو، و استقرار حاكميت ديني در ايران از سوي ديگر، كه از لوازم آن توجه به ابعاد نظري، ديني و عملي امنيت است، پرداختن به اين بحث را از منظر ديني ضروري مي‌سازد. اين مقاله، تلاش مي‌كند به كمك روش نقلي و عقلي و تاحدي ناظر به برخي واقعيت‌هاي عيني امنيت، برخي مفاهيم ديني مرتبط با مقوله امنيت و نظم را تبيين كند. و از انجايي كه اسلام براي امنيت اهميت ويژه‌اي قائل است و حفظ و تأمين امنيت را از وظايف دولت اسلامي ميداند و براي برقراري نظم و آرامش عمومي دستورالعمل‌هاي جالب و ارزندهاي دارد به همين منظور، نوع نگاه اسلام به ايمان، انسان، دنيا و آخرت و همچنين سازوكارهايي كه در چارچوب شريعت ولايت براي زندگي عرضه مي‌كند اين تحقيق بار روش اسنادي به مطالعه مناسبات نظم و امنيت در جامعه اسلامي با تاكيد بر راهكارهاي قرآن كريم پرداخته است.
