رابطه علم و دين از منظر استاد مطهري (با تكيه بر نظريه تبدّل انواع)

استاد مطهري، اسلام شناس و متأله معاصر، از جمله متفكران و محققاني است كه با رويكرد «گزينشي» به مسأله «علم» و «دين» پرداخته (همانند بحث از نظريه تبدّل انواع) و سعي كرده با رويكردي متفاوت و متعادل، با روش عقلاني – فلسفي و با وضوح بخشيدن به مسائل و موضوعات ديني به داوري و بررسي ارتباط اين دو بپردازد، چرا كه معتقد بود مشكلات جامعه بشري نو مي شود و مشكلات نو، راه حل نو مي خواهد . هرچند تعاريف مختلفي از دين و علم ارائه شده است؛ لكن در اين بحث، مقصود استاد از دين، «دين اسلام» و از علم، «علوم تجربي» مي باشد. استاد مطهري، علاوه بر اعتقاد به هماهنگي و همگرا بودن علم و دين، و در برخي موارد نيز بر مكمّل و متمّم بودن آنها تأكيدذ مي نمايد. استاد مطهري در بحث تعارض علم و دين، ضمن اعتقاد به «توهم بودن تضاد ميان اصل خلقت با ترانسفوريسم » از منظر جهان بيني، بيان مي كند كه اصل توحيد و اصل تكامل، مؤيد و مكمل يكديگر مي باشند؛ همچنين براي رفع تعارض ظاهري در بعد تعارض در محتوي، ضمن قائل شدن به سمبليك بودن زبان وحي در داستان آدم، معتقد به تفكيك علم و دين از حيث زبان شناسي شده اند.
