Already a pioneer in the digital decoration of ceramic tiles since 2003, Durst was the first manufacturer to develop a digital single pass ceramic printer for pigmented inks distributed on the market under the name Gamma. Despite initial reluctance to adopt such an innovative and revolutionary technology, the industry gradually came to appreciate the significant advantages it offers over traditional systems previously used for tile decoration. The main advantages of the Gamma system include total shading, the ability to decorate the entire surface of tiles without leaving white edges, the quality of high-definition printing and a process (dynamic range) that ensures very natural decorations avoiding the artefact effect.
