احساس امنيت تلفيقي از عوامل فردي، رواني و اجتماعي تلقي مي‌شود. ممكن است در جامعه‌اي امنيت از نظر انتظامي و پليسي وجود داشته باشد ولي فرد احساس امنيت نكند احساس عدم امنيت به دلايل متعدد پديد مي‌آيد يكي از دلايل مهم احساس ناامني، ممكن است به خاطر موقعيت و وضعيت خاص حاكم بر جامعه باشد و فرد به خاطر پاره‌اي از عوامل مخل امنيت در جامعه احساس ناامني كند. احساس امنيت در يك جامعه به احساس رواني شهروندان از ميزان وجود يا عدم وجود امنيت در آن جامعه ناشي مي‌گردد و هر چه ميزان فراواني جرم بالاتر باشد احساس امنيت در آن جامعه پايين‌تر است اما گاهي اين احساس عدم امنيت ممكن است ريشه‌رواني و فردي داشته باشد نه اجتماعي، حال با توجه به اين كه نيمي از جمعيت كشور را زنان و دختران تشكيل مي‌دهند، بديهي است اين احساس ناامني گريبانگير آنها هم مي‌شود كساني كه از ناهنجاري‌ها وآسيب‌هاي جامعه نسبت به مردان آسيب پذيرترند و همين احساس ناامني آنان را بيشتر مي‌كند. مسأله زنان و امنيت آن، زواياي بزرگ و پيچيده‌اي دارد و از اين جهت ضربان حمايت خانواده و به دنبال آن جامعه به شمار مي‌آيند. با توجه به تحولات اقتصادي و فرهنگي بوجود آمده، امروز در اجتماع شاهد حضور پر رنگ زنان در عرصه‌هاي اقتصادي، اجتماعي، فرهنگي و آموزشي هستيم از سوي ديگر با گسترده شدن ابعاد خشونت در جامعه، متأسفانه فراواني خشونت و تعرض نسبت به زنان در جامعه سير صعودي پيدا كرده است. اين تحقيق با هدف بررسي عوامل مؤثر بر احساس ناامني دختران 25-14 ساله شهر كرمانشاه صورت گرفته است. روش تحقيق حاضر پيمايشي بوده و براي جمع‌آوري داده‌ها از پرسشنامه محقق ساخته استفاده گرديده است. نتايج نشان مي‌دهد بين سن و احساس ناامني دختران، بين ميزان تحصيلات و احساس ناامني دختران، بين وضعيت شغلي و احساس ناامني، هيچ‌گونه رابطه‌اي وجود ندارد ولي بين پايگاه اجتماعي و اقتصادي خانواده و احساس ناامني رابطه وجود دارد.
