فرش عرب­جني، نمونه ­اي از فرش­هاي سليمانيست كه اجزاء تصويري آن به صورت نمادين و چكيده­نگاري­شده ظهور يافته ­اند. اين نمونه از فرش برخلاف ديگر فرش­هاي سليماني، در دسته­ ي فرش­هاي تصويريِ صرف قرار نمي­گيرد. تركيبات فرمي و رنگي آن، بيننده را به عالم نيروهاي ماوراءالطبيعه پيوند مي­زند. يك نويسنده­ ي غيرايراني در كتابش: «فرش­ها و هنر»، به فرش عرب­ جني پرداخته است. به علاوه گنجانيدن بخش مجزايي از كتاب در جهت معرفي و ارائه ­ي يك نمونه­ ي تصويري تا كنون منتشر نشده­ ي فرشي كه به ندرت در موطن خويش (فارس) بافته شده است و اكنون نيز نمونه­ اي از آن در ايران موجود نيست؛ از دلايل اهميت پرداختن به نقد كتاب است. روش تحقيق در اين نوشتار تحليل محتوايي و توصيفي مي­باشد. فرش عرب­جني توسط كوچندگان اُستان فارس بافته و نماينده­ ي فرهنگ ايلياتي و باورهاي ديني ايشان بوده است. در متون مختلف ادبي و فرهنگ فولكور ايران، همواره فارس را مُلك سليمان ناميده ­اند؛ آميختگي داستان­هاي حضرت سليمان در بخش اعتقادات ديني و جغرافيايي با خضر نبي و ايزدبانوي ناهيد به سبب اشتراك وظايفشان، باعث ايجاد شباهت و همساني آنها شده است. در اين راستا، دستبافته­ هاي ذهني­ باف و بداهه­ ي ايلياتي بستر مناسبي را براي به تصوير كشيدن باورهاي بومي و ديني مردمان اين خطه فراهم آورده است.

Arab Jinni's carpet is an example of Suleimani's carpets. This carpet has a primitive images and symbolic motifs. This sample of Suleiman carpets has different characteristics than visual/pictorial carpets. This kind of carpet has special form and color combinations that represent the metaphysical world. A non-Iranian man writes part of his book to the Arab Jinni's carpet. The name of his book is A Buenos Aires Collection: Rugs and Art/Tribal bird rugs and others. It is very important to publish an image of this kind of rare carpet that is not currently in Iran and is not even woven in Fars province. The home country of Arab Jinni's carpet weavers is Fars province. The research method in this paper is content and descriptive analysis. The knitters of this carpet are migrants of Fars province and their designs reflect their tribal culture. In different literary and folklore texts of Iran, Fars province is called the land of Solomon the Prophet. The stories of Solomon of the Prophet are related to the religious and geographical beliefs associated with the goddess Nahid and Khidr of the Prophet. The Khidr of the Prophet and the Nahid goddess have shared duties, and this has led to their similarity and consistency. Carpets with mental and improvised maps woven in the tribes depict the indigenous and religious beliefs of the people.
