The Cinema, Neoliberalism and lower class: Sociological analysis of the movie "I, Daniel Blake

فيلم «من، دنيل بليك» اثر كن لوچ، فيلم‌ساز چپ‌گراي انگليسي است كه نخل طلاي جشنواره كن را از آن خود كرده است. كن لوچ در اين فيلم، اگرچه بوروكراسي فرسايشي نظام خدمات اجتماعي بريتانيا را به نقد مي‌كشد اما به چيزي بيشتر از بوروكراسي اداري مي‌پردازد؛ او با زباني بسيار گزنده، در قالب درامي سياسي و تأثيرگذار، نئوليبراليسم را به چالش مي‌كشد. در اين مطالعه، با استفاده از مفاهيم نئوليبراليسم و شهروندي، به تحليل نشانه‌شناختي آخرين ساخته كن لوچ مي‌پردازد. يافته‌هاي اين پژوهش نشان مي‌دهد كه فيلم «من، دنيل بليك» اگرچه به‌صورتي اغراق آميز رنج و محنت طبقه كارگر و فرودست جامعه را در برابر دولتي بي‌رحم به‌تصوير مي‌كشد و «بازتاب» دقيقي از جامعه بريتانيا نيست و كژتابي‌هايي دارد اما كن لوچ در «شكل‌دهي» افكار عمومي كه هدف اصلي او از ساخت اين فيلم بوده موفق است. در اين تحقيق از روش نشانه‌شناسي جان فيسك استفاده شده است.

English Ken Loach's film "I, Daniel Blake" is an English leftist filmmaker who won the Cannes Gold Palm prize. In this film, Ken Loach, while criticizing the eroding bureaucracy of the British social service system, deals with something larger than the administrative bureaucracy; he challenges neoliberalism in a highly poignant, influential political drama. In this study, we attempted to analyze social theories using the film's sociological theories, the last made by Loch. This paper, using two common approaches to film social analysis (reflection and shaping), shows that the film "I, Daniel Blake" is not an accurate "reflection" of British society and has some scribbles, but Ken Loch is aiming at "shaping" public opinion. His main focus was making this film successful. It has also been explained by the theory of "social realism" that, although the film is not an accurate reflection of the filmmaker's intended community, why the film's main character is believable to the viewer, and "I, Daniel Blake," has received critical acclaim. Has it been?
