چكيده فارسي :
در نظام شناختي يك شعر، برخي ويژگيها مبتني بر جوهرة شعر است مثل عنصر كليدي عاطفه و برخي مربوط به دانش شعر مثل وزن، آهنگ، قافيه و صورخيال كه هر يك از اين ويژگيها به نوعي باعث شناخت هويّت شعر مي‌شوند. علم عروض يكي از دانش‌هاي ادبي است كه دربارۀ چگونگي ايجاد وزن و انواع آن و نيز شگردهاي ويژه آهنگ شعر سخن مي‌گويد. بدنۀ اصلي اين پژوهش را توصيف نظام عروضي در زبان‌هاي فارسي و انگليسي تشكيل مي‌دهد كه در آن به روش كتابخانه‌اي و مطالعۀ موردي و براساس مكتب آمريكايي ادبيات تطبيقي به بررسي مقايسه‌اي علم عروض در زبان‌هاي فارسي و انگليسي پرداخته شده‌است و در پايان اين نتيجه حاصل مي‌شود كه اين دو زبان در برخي تعاريف اصطلاحي مانند وزن، عروض و تقطيع مشابه يكديگرند و برخي از اختيارات شاعري در عروض دو زبان را با وجود نام‌گذاري‌هاي متفاوت مي‌توان معادل يكديگر قرار داد، امّا از وجوه تمايز آن‌ها بايد به توجّه منظم و دقيق مبحث عروض در فارسي و آشفنگي آن در انگليسي، نوع وزن شعر در دو زبان (فارسي كمّي امتدادي و انگليسي ضربي امتدادي)، وجود سه هجاي كوتاه، بلند و كشيده در فارسي و دو هجاي تكيه‌دار و بي‌تكيه در انگليسي به خصوص تفاوت در الگوي مصوّر اين هجاها، تعداد وزن‌هاي انشعابي و خوش‌آهنگ‌تر بودن اوزان فارسي نسبت به اوزان انگليسي اشاره كرد.

Inthe cognitive system of a poem, some features are based on the essence of the poem, such as the key element of emotion, and some are related to the knowledge of the poem, such as Meter, melody, rhyme, and imagination. The science of prosody is one of the literary sciences that talks about how to create Meter and its types, as well as the special techniques of poetry. The main body of this research consists of a description of the prosodic system in Persian and English languages in which a comparative study of prosody science in Persian and English languages has been studied by library method and case study based on the American school of comparative literature. These two languages are similar in some idiomatic definitions such as Meter, pronouns and fragmentation, and some poetic powers in the pronouns of the two languages can be equated with different names, but in terms of their differences, the subject of pronouns in Persian must be regularly and accurately considered. and its awkwardness in English, the type of weight of the poem in two languages (quantitative Persian extension and continuous multiplicative English), the existence of three short, long and long syllables in Persian and two accented and unstressed syllables in English, especially the difference in the illustrated pattern of these syllables, number He pointed out the branching Meters and the more melodious Persian Meters than the English Meters.
