يكي از فروع اصل عليت ، وجوب بالقياس است ونفي آن مستلزم نفي اصل عليت است، بعضي ازمتكلمين پنداشته اند كه اين قاعده ، مخصوص علت هاي جبري وبي اختيار است واما در مورد فاعلهاي مختار،بعد از تحقق جميع اجزاء علت ،باز جاي اختيار وانتخاب فاعل،محفوظ است. غافل از اينكه قاعده ي عقليه ، قابل تخصيص نيست . ازنظر برخي متكلمان ضرورت علّي دربحث فاعل هاي مختار و نيز دراينكه عالم حادث است ونياز خداي سبحان،مشكل ساز مي شود از اين رو ايشان اولويت را جايگزين ضرورت علّي كرده اند .برخي از انديشمندان معاصر نيز به طوركلي ضرورت علّي را چه به صورت غيري وچه بالقياس منكرند وبراي نفي اين دو ضرورت ، ادله اي اقامه كرده اند از نظر ايشان با پذيرش ضرورت علّي همه فاعل ها موجب خواهند بود مطلوب ما در اين مقاله تثبيت ادعاي ملاصدرا مبني بر حفظ اختيار علت تامه در رابطه با وجوب بالقياس معلول است.
