چالش‌هاي حرفه­ اي و آموزشي دندانپزشكي در دوره­ ي پاندمي Covid-19: يك مطالعه­ ي مروري

Educational and Professional Challenges of Dentistry During Covid-19 Pandemic; a Literature Review

بيماري كوويد-19 در سال 2020 به يك پاندمي گسترده در سراسر جهان تبديل شد. اين بيماري از شهر ووهان چين شروع شد و تقريباً اكثر كشورهاي جهان را درگير كرد و باعث مرگ و مير افراد بي شماري در جهان شد. بلافاصله، مطالعات بسياري در حيطه هاي اتيولوژي، اپيدميولوژي، نحوه‌ي انتقال و راه‌هاي محافظت در برابر ابتلاي بيماران و دندانپزشكان انجام گرفت، اما كمتر به زمينه ي چالش هاي دندانپزشكان، دانشجويان دندانپزشكي و بيماران از نظر اجتماعي، اقتصادي و روحي- رواني پرداخته شده است. اين مطالعه ي مروري قصد دارد به جنبه هاي مربوط به حرفه ي دندانپزشكي، آموزش دندانپزشكي و دندانپزشكي گروه هاي مختلف سني بپردازد. پايگاه داده هاي PubMed، Scopus و موتور جستجوي پژوهشي GoogleScholar با استفاده از كليدواژه هاي زبان طبيعي و زبان كنترل شده MeSH جستجو شد. بازه ي زماني جستجو به1 ژانويه ي سال 2020تا 21 نوامبر سال 2020 محدود شد. همچنين جست و جوي دستي و بررسي متون خاكستري (Gray literature) از سامانه هاي محلي و وب سايت ها انجام شد. بعد از بررسي اوليه ي عنوان مقالات به دست آمده، بدنبال ارزيابي نقادانه مطالعات فاقد كيفيت از نظر روش شناسي اجراي مطالعه كنار گذاشته شدند. مطالعات در مورد تأثيرات كوويد-19 بر «آموزش دندانپزشكي»، «دندانپزشكي كودكان»، «دندانپزشكي سالمندان» و «كلينيك‌ها و خدمات دندانپزشكي» وارد مطالعه شدند. نتايج مطالعه نشان دادند كه به دليل ماهيت عملي حرفه و آموزش دندانپزشكي و اهميت فاصله گذاري اجتماعي طي اين پاندمي، جامعه ي دندانپزشكي و حتي بيماران نيازمند درمان هاي دندانپزشكي از جهات مختلف تحت تأثير اين پاندمي قرار گرفته اند كه بايد جهت تسهيل بازخورد به اين پاندمي موردتوجه مسئولين حوزه ي سلامت قرار گيرند. كليد واژه ها:

In the year 2020 Covid-19 disease caused an extensive pandemic world-wide. It arose from Wuhan city in China and spread to whole world resulting in many deaths. Immediately, researchers conducted many studies to assess the etiology, epidemiology, ways of transmission and protective instructions and materials against Covid-19, but still there are not enough studies about challenges which dentists, dental students and patients referring to dental clinics encounter regarding their social, economic and psychological status. In this review, authors tried to focus on the literature regarding these problems. The literature search was conducted using natural language keywords and controlled vocabulary using MeSH through PubMed, Scopus and Google Scholar from 1st of January 2020 to 21st of November 2020. In addition, Gray literature and manual search of references were also performed. Articles with low quality methodology were excluded based on critical appraisal. The articles about the effects of Covid19 on “dental education”, “pediatric dentistry”, “geriatric dentistry” and “dental professions and practice” were included in the study. The results showed that due to the practical nature of the dental profession and education and the importance of social distance during this pandemic (Covid-19), the dental community and even patients in need of dental treatment have been affected by this pandemic in different ways that should be considered by health officials for facilitating feedback to this pandemic.
