هدف از پژوهش حاضر بررسي ابعاد سياسي- اجتماعي امنيت در فقه سياسي شيعه مي باشد. اين تحقيق از نوع تحقيقات تحليلي- اسنادي مي باشد. روش گردآوري اطلاعات كتابخانه اي است كه با ابزار فيش برداري از كتاب ها، مقالات، و... اطلاعات لازم گردآوري شده است. بر اساس يافته هاي تحقيق امنيت يك نياز و ضرورت زندگي فردي و اجتماعي است و بايد ملت ها، دولت ها و حكومت ها تمام امكانات خودر در جهت گسترش و توسعه آن را بكار گيرند. اسلام و نظام اسلامي نيز از اين قاعده مستثني نيست و امنيت يكي از اركان مهم در دين اسلام است و فقه سياسي نيز عهده دار تنظيم روابط دروني و بيروني مسلمانان بر اساس قسط و عدل است. همچنين با مراجعه به منابع و ادله ديني آنچه كه آشكار است اينكه جوهره اسلام بر «سلام» و ايمني است و در روايات اسلامي اسلام مايه امان ذكر شده است. بر همين اساس با توجه به اهميت و حفظ كرامت و حرمت انسان در اسلام، مهمترين ابعاد و حدود سياسي اجتماعي امنيت در فقه سيعه، تأمين و فراهم سازي زمينه حضور فعال و متعهدانه افراد و نهادهاي اجتماعي، در عرصه هاي سياسي بر اساس آموزه هاي وحي و حفظ كيان امت اسلامي است.
