بيش از يك دهه است كه سرمايه اجتماعي به طور جدي در ادبيات علوم اجتماعي مطرح شده و توجه نظريه پردازان جامعه شناسي، علوم سياسي، علوم اقتصادي، پژوهشگران توسعه و مديريت را به خود معطوف ساخته است. نگاهي گذرا به حجم انبوه مقالاتي كه در دهه اخير به موضوع سرمايه اجتماعي پرداخته اند گواه همين مطلب است: به طوري كه پيش از سال 1981 تعداد مقالاتي كه در مجله هاي علوم اجتماعي، واژه كليدي شان سرمايه اجتماعي بود، در كل 20 مقاله، بين سال 1990 تا 1995 در حدود 109 مقاله و بين سال هاي 1991 تا 1999 به حدود 1003 مقاله رسيده و اين رقم همچنان در حال افزايش است. لذا در مقاله حاضر قصد كالبد شكافي مفهوم سرمايه اجتماعي را به منظور ارائه جامع ترين و معتبر ترين تاريخچه، تعاريف، نظريات مبنايي، منابع، ابعاد، پيامدها، رهيافت ها، سطوح، انواع و شاخص هاي سرمايه اجتماعي را داريم.

More than a decade of social capital in the social science literature has been raised seriously and regard theorists of sociology, political science, economics, researchers have focused on the development and management. A quick look at the massive amount of articles that have been certified in the last decade social capital is the same thing: so that before 1981 the number of articles in the Journal of Social Sciences, the key word was their social capital, in total 20 articles between 1990 and 1995 about 109 articles and papers between 1991 and 1999 to about 1003 and this figure continues to rise. Therefore, this paper aims to dissect concept of social capital to provide the most comprehensive and most prestigious history, definitions, basic ideas, resources, dimensions, issues, approaches, levels, types and criteria of social capital we have.
