معاضدات حقوقي و پليسي از اهم تدابير عمومي اينترپل براي مبارزه با جرايم فراملي در مفهوم عام آن (سازمان يافته و غير سازمان يافته ) مي باشد هرچند كه معاضدات پليسي زير مجموعه اي از معاضدات حقوقي است ولي با توجه به اين كه معاضدات حقوقي اكثرا بين مقامات حقوقي و همراه دستورات قضايي، از طريق ديپلماتيك انجام مي گيرد و معاضدات پليسي بيشتر اوقات تخصصي و فني بوده و در مراحل كشف و تعقيب جرايم زمينه ساز انجام اكثر معاضدات حقوقي است. جامعه جهاني با احساس نياز و همچنين با آگاهي از تأثيرات مخرب جنايات فراملي و به‌ منظور حفظ اصول حاكميتي كشورها، سازماني را با عنوان پليس بين‌الملل جنائي تشكيل داده است. در اين مقاله هدف از تشكيل سازمان بين المللي پليس جنايي (اينترپل)، قسمت هاي مختلف سازمان (اينترپل)، وظايف سازمان (اينترپل)، معاضدت هاي حقوقي و پليسي، نقش اينترپل در انجام معاضدت هاي حقوقي، نقش اينترپل در انجام معاضدات حقوقي در پرتو اسناد بين المللي، اينترپل و استرداد مجرمين مي پردازد.
