نواحي حاشيه نشين ، نواحي هستند كه ويژگي هاي خاص ممتدي در ابعاد كالبدي، اقتصادي، محيطي، اجتماعي و فرهنگي را دارا هستند. اين نواحي خودرو و بدون برنامه ريزي بوده و عموما به سبب وجود ويژگي هاي مطرحي از جمله چالش هاي اقتصادي ، گروه هاي جمعيتي ، مهاجرت ها ، بافت هاي بدون برنامه ريزي و ارگانيك از سطح امنيت پاييني برخوردار هستند و چالش هايي را در تامين امنيت براي نيروي انتظامي ايجاد كرده اند. شهر بومهن نيز از جمله نواحي بوده كه با پديده حاشيه نشيني درون شهري روبه رو بوده است. ويژگي هاي خاص شهر بومهن چه از ابعاد محيطي و چه اقتصادي و كالبدي سبب گشته تامين امنيت در شهر توسط نيروي انتظامي با مشكل روبه رو شود. از اين رو هدف اين مقاله مكان گزيني مراكز انتظامي در نواحي حاشيه نشين شهر بومهن بوده تا با توجه به متغير هاي تاثير گذار بر مكان گزيني مناطق مساعد براي ايجاد مراكز انتظامي در شهر بومهن جانمايي شود. اين پژوهش از نوع كاربردي-نظري و روش پژوهش آن به صورت توصيفي-تحليلي بوده بدين منظور پس از استخراج متغير ها به وسيله مطالعه اسناد مربوطه و تنظيم پرسشنامه فازي و استفاده از روش سلسله مراتب فازي(FAHP) و نرم افزار GIS نقشه هاي مفهومي توليد و روي هم گذاري شد .با روي هم گذاري لايه ها مناطق محدوده خيابان باهنر در شمال جاده دماوند و محدوده خيابان عسگري در جنوب جاده دماوند محدوده هاي مناسب براي ايجاد مراكز انتظامي در شهر بومهن بوده است.
