توسعه چشمگير و رشد فزاينده فناوري هاي نو پديد - در دهه هاي اخير و به ويژه در زمينه ژنتيك - بارقه هاي اميدي بر دلها تاباند و افق هايي كران ناپيدا پيش چشم بشر گشود- اما ظرفيتهاي بي بديل و بالقوه اين فناوريها و ترس از تبعات ناشناخته و ناخوشايند بكارگيري غير مسولانه آنها بر دلنگراني ها و دهشت بشر افزود و ضرورت توجه به ملاحظات اخلاقي اين حوزه و به ويژه «اخلاق ژنتيك» را دوچندان ساخت. اخلاق ژنتيك - به عنوان شاخه و شعبه اي از اخلاق زيستي - مجموعه اي از معضلات اخلاقي بغرنج و بحران آفرين را در برگرفته است و به بحث از ملاحظات اخلاقي و مرزو محدوده بكارگيري و مهار و محدودسازي مهندسي ژنتيك و پژوهش هاي ناظر به ژن مي پردازد. در اين مقاله ضمن اشاره به جايگاه و قلمرو اخلاق ژنتيك و طرح مهمترين موضوعات مطرح در اين حوزه ، با رويكردي جستارگشايانه و تحليلي، گزيده اي از چالش بر انگيزترين مسايل حوزه اخلاق ژنتيك مربوط به اين حوزه - به اجمال و ايجاز- واكاوي، برجسته /تبيين مي شوند.

But the great, irreplaceable, potential, and unknown capacities of these technologies and the fear of the unknown and unpleasant consequences of their irresponsible use, caused the very anxiety and worry of people an‎d therefore, the need to pay attention to the moral consequences and considerations of the use of these technologies became more apparent than before and led to the establishment of a new scientific branch in the “applied ethics” that called “Genethics”. “Genethics /Genetic ethics” as a new and emerging branch of “bioethics” - includes a set of complex and critical ethical issues and problems and discusses the ethical considerations and the scope and limits of application or restraint of genetic engineering and Gene-focused studies. In this article, from an exploratory and analytical point of view, after pointing out the structure, scope, and most important issues of “Genethics”, and listing the most important issues in this field, in addition to paying attention to the dimensions and capacities of this important and emerging branch, the most challenging The issues and issues in this field have been briefly analyzed, highlighted and explained.
