A Critique of the Published Version of "The Story of Solomon”

كتاب "قصهء سليمان" تاليف ابويعقوب يوسف بن علي بن عمر تبريزي در اواخر قرن 6 و اوايل قرن 7 قمري است. اين كتاب اخيرا به چاپ حروفي رسيده، اما شوربختانه، غلطه اي فراوان بدان راه يافته، چندان كه متن از حيّز انتفاع بيرون شده است. اين بي ساماني، البته محصولِ اهليت نداشتن مباشران چاپ اين كتاب است. مقالهء حاضر، كه نمونه هايي اندك از آشفتگي هاي بسيارِ كتاب مزبور را نشان داده، گواهي است بر اين دعوي.

The book "The Story of Solomon" is a book written by Abū Ya'qūb Yūsuf ibn Ali ibn ‘Umar Tabrīzī in the late 6th and early 7th lunar centuries. This book has recently been published, but unfortunately, many mistakes have been made in it, so many that the text has become totally useless. This disorder is, of course, the product of the incompetence of the editors of this book. The present article, which shows a few examples of the book's many problems, is a testament to this claim.
