چكيده فارسي :
مراد اين نوشته از «خود» معناي عام نفس است نه نفس خاصي مانند اماره يا لوامه. از اين نظر مي توان گفت كه شامل همه آنهاست. به همين دليل نتايج اين رابطه مي تواند اعلي يا اسفل باشد. رابطه همواره معطوف به ديگران است اما رابطه با خود(معطوف به خود) از ويژگي هاي انسان است و ساير موجودات نمي توانند با خود رابطه برقرار كنند و تنها انسان ميتواند در عين اينكه ميداند غير از خود موجود ديگري در ميان نيست، با خود رابطه برقرار كند؛ خودشناسي و خودكاوي كند (ساحت معرفت)؛ خود را دوست يا دشمن بدارد (ساحت روان)؛ له يا عليه خود چيزي بخواهد(ساحت اراده)؛ با خود سخن گويد(ساحت گفتار) و يا له يا عليه خود كاري انجام دهد (ساحت كردار). بسيار بعيد است كه حيوانات خود را تشويق كنند اما انسان تنها موجودي است كه مي تواند با خود چنين تعاملي داشته باشد. قرآن كريم بعد از رابطه با خدا بيشترين توجهات را به اين رابطه معطوف داشته است. انسان از طريق اين رابطه ميتواند به تكامل روحي دست يافته و به اوج بندگي خدا برسد؛ زيرا در سايه چنين رابطهاي است كه انسان به زواياي روح و روان خود پي ميبرد و درك مي كند كه خودنگهداري در تكامل وي نقش مهمي ايفا ميكند. اين رابطه مي تواند در ساحت هاي پنج گانه معرفت/عقل، روان(شامل احساسات، عواطف و هيجانات)، اراده، گفتار و كردار محقق شود. چيستي و چگونگي تحقق اين روابط در وجود انسان مي تواند آثاري را در انسان پديد آورند. از جمله اين آثار خويشتنداري و فرو خوردن خشم است. ضمن اينكه انسان در سايه ايجاد رابطه با خود در ساحت كردار مي تواند اعمالي انجام بدهد كه موجب ارتقاي روحياش شود. علاوه بر اينها، انسان از طريق رابطه با خود ميتواند به فلسفه آفرينش خود پي برده و بخش قابل توجهي از حيات طيبه را حاصل نمايد و در اثر استمرار رابطه با خود مي تواند مطلوبهاي اخلاقي، ديني، روانشناختي و عرفاني را حاصل نمايد.
