ركوع يكي از مهم‌ترين اركان نمازاست كه بالاترين عبادت در دين اسلام بشمار مي‌رود تاجاييكه در قرآن كريم بارها به اهميت آن تأكيد و به انجام آن توصيه شده است. بدين سبب كه ياد خدا را به قلب انسان وارد نموده و او را به هدف نهايي بندگي يعني قرب الهي نزديك مي‌گرداند. ركوع، تعظيم در برابر عظمت الهي و اعتراف به وحدانيت خداوند است. مي‌توان خضوع و خشوع را از مهم‌ترين نتايج و آثارآن دانست كه خود برطرف‌كننده تكبر در اعمال عبادي مي‌باشد. در كاوش پيش رو كه در حيطه قرآن و حديث صورت گرفته است، آثار ركوع به‌صورت توصيفي-تحليلي اعم از فوايد اخلاقي، معنوي و اخروي بررسي گرديده و موارد زير يافت شده است؛ ازجمله: ركوع موجب طاعت، دوري از گناه و فرياد ابليس، مزين‌شدن به نور بهاء الهي، ساكن شدن در سايه عظمتش و ملبس‌شدن به لباس برگزيدگان، تعجب فرشتگان از اعطاي نور و هبه الهي و مباهات به فرد راكع، اظهار ادب و دوري از تكبر، پاك شدن دل از حسد، زمينه درك ولايت به‌واسطه عشق و محبت ائمه، نيل به رستگاري و قرب، آسودگي از وحشت قبر و حرمت جسم راكع بر آتش، عاقبت‌به‌خيري و رسيدن به مقام عليين و حصول طرق سعادت، صعود نماز نوراني به‌واسطه ركوع كامل و گشايش درب‌هاي رحمت الهي و درنهايت احترام خداوند به موسپيدان راكع.

Ruku is one of the most important pillars of prayer, which is considered to be the highest worship in Islam, so much so that its importance has been repeatedly emphasized and recommended in the Holy Qur'an. Because it brings the remembrance of God into the human heart and brings him closer to the ultimate goal of servitude, which is nearness to God. Bowing is bowing before the greatness of God and acknowledging the oneness of God. Humility and obedience can be considered as one of the most important results and its effects, which itself removes arrogance in acts of worship. In the forthcoming research that has been done in the field of Quran and Hadith, the effects of bowing have been studied descriptively-analytically including moral, spiritual and otherworldly benefits and the following items have been found; Among them: bowing causes obedience, avoiding sin and the cry of the devil, adorning oneself with the light of the divine price, dwelling in the shadow of His majesty and dressing in the clothes of the elect, the angels being surprised by the divine light and boasting, and boasting to the person who prays, expressing politeness and avoiding arrogance. Purification of the heart from jealousy, the background of understanding the province through the love and affection of the Imams, achieving salvation and nearness, relief from the fear of the grave and the sanctity of the body leaning on the fire, a good end and reaching the highest position and attaining happiness an‎d the opening of the doors of divine mercy and finally the respect of God to the rak'ah.
