بررسي و تحليل آرا و افكار سياسي و فرهنگي جورج كرزن در كتاب "ايران و قضيه ايران"

Analysis of George Curzon's Political and Cultural Opinions and Thoughts in the book "Persia and the Persian Question"

هدف: منابع فراواني توسط نويسندگان غربي در رابطه با توصيف و تحليل اوضاع اجتماعي، فرهنگي، سياسي، اقتصادي و جغرافياي طبيعي گذشته ايران به نگارش درآمده كه در برخي از اين آثار، نويسندگان يا اطلاعات لازم از پديده‌هاي مورد توصيف را نداشتند يا جانبدارنه قلمفرسايي كرده‌اند. از جمله اين آثار، كتاب ايران و قضيه ايران است كه توسط ناتانيل جرج كرزن در دو جلد به نگارش درآمده است كه هدف مقاله حاضر، تبيين آرا و نظرات نويسنده در آن بود. روش: پژوهش حاضر ‌كوشيده است با روش تبييني- تحليلي، از طريق گردآوري بررسي اسناد كتابخانه‌اي به استكشاف ديدگاههاي جرج كرزن بپردازد. يافته‌ها: يافته‌هاي مقاله حاكي از اين واقعيت بود كه نويسنده در توصيف و تحليل حوادث و پديده‌هاي گذشته ايران نگاه كاملاً جانبدارانه داشته و تلاش كرده تا هرگونه دستاورد مثبتي را سوغات غرب دانسته و ضعفها، كمبودها و آسيبها را متوجه اشخاص و امور داخلي كند. وي پيشرفتهاي صنعتي و تكنولوژيك و اصلاحات را تنها راه جلب اعتماد مردم و مسئولان ايران مي‌دانسته كه مي‌تواند روابط حسنه با كشور ايران را به دنبال آورد. نتيجه‌گيري: نويسنده از اشخاص غرب‌زده حمايت كرده و عالمان دين را مانع روابط بين ايران و انگلستان عنوان كرده است. از اين رو، تلاش كرده تا آنها را مانع پيشرفت و ترقي كشور معرفي كند و از اين طريق، مردم را عليه آنها تحريك كرده و جايگاه آنها را در بين توده مردم و مسئولان تضعيف كند.

Aim: Numerous sources have been written by western writers to describe and analyze the social, cultural, political, economic and natural geography of Iran in the past. In some of these works, the authors either did not have the necessary information about the phenomena described or were biased. One of these works is "Persia and the Persian Question", which was written by Nathaniel George Curzon in two volumes. The purpose of this article is to explain the views and opinions of the author. Method: The present study tries to explore the views of George Curzon through collecting library documents by means of explanatory-analytical method. Results: The findings of the article indicate the fact that the author has a completely biased view in describing and analyzing the past events and phenomena in Iran and has tried to consider any positive achievement as a souvenir of the West and point out weaknesses, shortcomings and injuries to individuals and internal affairs. He considered industrial and technological developments and reforms as the only way to gain the trust of the Iranian people and officials, which could lead to good relations with Iran. Conclusion: The author has supported Westernized people and has considered religious scholars as an obstacle to relations between Iran and the United Kingdom. Hence, it has been tried to introduce them as an obstacle to the progress and development of the country, and in this way, to incite the people against them and to weaken their position between the masses of people and the officials.
