مطالعه تاريخ سياسي معاصر جهان و مناسبت هاي موجود در اقتصاد جهاني گوياي اين است: خطراتي كه امنيت و رفاه آينده جوامع بشري را تهديد مي كند نه چندان خطراتي چون برخوردهاي بين المللي و تجاوز بوسيله يك قدرت خارجي، بلكه بي ثباتيهاي اقتصادي، اكولوژيك و اجتماعي بخصوص پديده ناامني غذايي است. ناامني غذايي از جمله عواملي است كه مي تواند ارزشهاي حياتي و در نتيجه امنيت ملي يك كشور را به مخاطره بياندازد. امنيت غذايي كه به مفهوم دسترسي به غذاي كافي در حال حاضر و آينده مي باشد با رشد سريع جمعيت جوامع موجوديت خود را از دست داده است و در بخشهايي از كره زمين اوضاع سياسي، اقتصادي و اجتماعي ويژه اي پديد آورده است كه نه تنها سرنوشت سياسي كشورهاي نيازمند بوسيله كشورهاي صنعتي رقم مي خورد، بلكه زندگي روزمره آنها به تصميمات كشورهاي سلطه گر بستگي يافته است و رهايي از اين وابستگي و رسيدن به استقلال ملي و پيشرفت اجتماعي جز با توسعه پايدار ميسر نيست و محور توسعه پايدار، توسعه كشاورزي است. توسعه كشاورزي جز با بهره گيري از روش هاي علمي و دستاوردهاي تكنولوژيك امكانپذير نيست. با عنايت به اين موضوع، در نوشتار حاضر نقش و جايگاه امنيت غذايي در امنيت ملي، اقتصاد مقاومتي و توسعه پايدار و نيز وضعيت امنيت غذايي كشور در دو سطح كلان و خرد و همچنين چالش ها و فرصت هاي آن بررسي، تحليل و راهكارها ارايه شده است.

The countries in need are determined by the industrialized countries, but their daily lives depend on the decisions of the dominant countries, and getting rid of this dependence and achieving national independence and social progress is possible only with sustainable development, and the axis of sustainable development is agricultural development. Agricultural development is not possible except by using scientific methods and technological achievements.
