قافيه در شعر فارسي، از ديرباز تا دوره مشروطه و در عمل، تا نيم‌سدة گذشته، يكي از كليدي‌ترين عنصرهاي شعر فارسي به‌شمار مي‌آمده ‌است. در نيم‌ سده اخير نيز اگرچه قافيه به‌ظاهر رنگ و رخ گذشتة خويش را ندارد، هنوز در ادبيات فارسي جلوه‌گري ‌مي‌كند و نقش آن كم‌رنگ نشده است. پژوهشگران علم قافيه، كاركرد‌ها و نقش‌هايي را براي قافيه ذكر كرده‌اند كه عمدة اين نقش‌ها در كتاب‌ها و مقاله‌ها ذكر شده است. يكي از اين نقش‌ها كه اين مقاله بدان پرداخته، نقشي است كه قافيه در نشان دادن گويش و لهجة شاعران دارد. در سرزمين ايران، از قديم‌ترين ايام تاكنون، لهجه‌ها و گويش‌هاي زيادي رايج بوده است كه هنوز هم در گوشه و كنار اين كشور بدان تكلّم مي‌كنند. شاعران و نويسندگان بزرگ زبان فارسي، داراي لهجه‌ها و گويش‌هاي خاصّ خود بوده وآن‌ها را وارد شعر فارسي كرده‌اند. از آنجا‌يي‌ كه ما امروزه آن تلفّظ و لهجه را به‌طور دقيق در دست نداريم و خطّ فارسي هم در ثبت مصوّت‌ها ناتوان است، در مواردي، متوجّه گويش و لهجة شاعران نمي‌شويم؛ چون آن‌ها را با تلفّظ امروزينشان مي‌سنجيم. از اين رو قافيه در ثبت تلفّظ واژه‌ها نقشي تعيين‌كننده دارد؛ بنابراين قرار گرفتن واژه‌ها در قافيه، يكي از روش‌هايي است كه مي‌توان از طريق آن، به گويش و لهجه شاعران پي برد. اين پژوهش درصدد است به نقشي بپردازد كه قافيه در نشان دادن گويش و لهجه شاعران برجسته دارد.

Rhyme in Persian poetry, from the ancient to the constitutional period and in practice, until the last half century, is one of the key elements of Persian poetry. In the last half, too, although the rhyme does not seem to have its past visage and appearance; but it still appears in Persian literature and its role has not diminished. Researchers in rhyming have listed functions and patterns for rhyme. Most of these roles are mentioned in books and articles. One of the roles that this article addresses is the role that rhyme plays in showing the dialect and accent of poets. Also, great Persian poets and writers have their own dialects and dialects have incorporated these dialects into Persian poetry. Since we do not have that exact pronunciation and accent today, and the Persian script is incapable of recording vowels; in some cases, we do not notice their dialect and accent, because we measure them by their modern pronunciation. Therefore, rhyme plays a decisive role in recording the pronunciation of words. Therefore, placing words in rhyme is one of the ways through which the dialect and dialect of poets can be understood. This research aims to address the role that rhyme plays in showing the dialect and accent of prominent poets.
