چكيده فارسي :
حاصل سخنان امام محمدباقر عليه السلام به جابربن يزيد جعفي چنين بود: مومن در اين دنيا مشغول مبارزه و كشتي گرفتن با نفس است. گاه خداوند متعال توفيق مي‌دهد و او بر نفسش غالب مي‌شود و گاه نفس چيره مي‌شود و او را زمين‌گير مي‌كند. خداوند متعال باز هم ياري مي‌كند و مومن را به صحنه مبارزه بازمي‌گرداند تا با تصميم جدي‌تر نبرد را از سر گيرد. اين فرآيند تا پايان زندگي ادامه دارد. حضرت براي تقويت عزم و اراده انسان براي مبارزه با نفس و درباره لغزشگاه‌هايي هشدار داده‌اند كه شيطان مي‌تواند انسان را به سوي آنها سوق دهد و به كمك هواي نفس موجب سقوط انسان شود. حضرت درباره لغزش‌هايي كه در گذشته از انسان سر زده است، فرمودند كه بايد پرونده گناهان را بازخواني كرد و درصدد توبه و جبران آنها برآمد. فرض كلام امام عليه السلام، انسان مومن بود. كسي كه ايمانش استوار است و وارد ميدان مبارزه با نفس شده است، بايد دقت كند تا شكست نخورد و بر نفس چيره شود. اكنون اين پرسش مطرح مي‌شود كه ايمان چيست؟ چه مولفه‌هايي دارد؟ چگونه به دست مي‌آيد و حفظ مي‌شود؟ البته بين ايمان و عمل رابطه تنگاتنگي برقرار است؛ اگر عمل انسان درست باشد، يعني از كارهاي حرام و خطا پرهيز كند و عملي را انجام دهد كه رضاي خداوند متعال را جلب مي‌كند، ايمان نيز استوار مي‌شود. از‌آنجاكه امام باقر عليه السلام در سخنانشان به اين مباحث تصريح نكرده‌اند، براي تكميل بحث از روايتي علوي در نهج البلاغه بهره‌مند مي‌شويم.

From the total advices of Mohammad Bagher (PBUH) to Jabir b. Yazid al-Ju’fi, which was discussed in previous papers, it can be concluded that, the believer in this world is engaged in a struggle with the soul. In this battle, by the grace of Allah Almighty, the believer sometimes overcomes his or her soul, but sometimes he or she loses the battlefield. Of course, with the help of Allah Almighty, the believer returns to the battlefield and resumes the battle. This process continues for the rest of his or her life. In order to strengthen the human will in the struggle against the soul, Imam (PBUH) has warned of catastrophes of the path and said, Satan, with the help of carnal desires, can cause man to fall. Regarding man's past mistakes, his holiness said: Man must review his sins and seek repentance and compensation for them. Imam's remarks were about a believer. A believer whose faith is firm and has entered the battlefield against the soul must be careful to overcome the soul. The question now is, what is faith? What are its components? How can it be obtained and protected? Of course, there is a close relationship between faith and action; If human action is right, faith will also be established i.e., avoiding forbidden deeds and mistakes and performing deeds that are pleasing to God will strengthen the faith. Since Imam Bagher (PBUH) did not specify these issues in his remarks, we will use the statements of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (PBUH) in Nahj al-Balaghah to complete the discussion.
