ايدئولوژي در فرآيند جنبش‌ها و نهضت‌ها نقش مهمي دارد و در دنيا موتور محرك بسياري از تحولات فكري و سياسي بوده است. در جهان اسلام و ايران نيز ايدئولوژي اسلامي نقش مهمي در تحولات سياسي دوران معاصر داشته است. اما اين ايدئولوژي چرا و چگونه شكل گرفت؟ به نظر مي‌رسد مهم‌ترين معيارها در شكل‌گيري اين ايدئولوژي متاثر از انديشه‌هاي سيدجمال الدين اسدآبادي بوده است. وي دوري از اسلام را سبب انحطاط مسلمين دانست و براي اولين بار سعي نمود ايمان ديني و اسلام را تبديل به ايدئولوژي نموده و آن را وارد زندگي مردم نمايد. او معيارهايي را براي اين ايدئولوژي تبيين و ارائه داد كه ديري نپائيد منجر به رنسانسي در ايران و جهان اسلام گرديد و تقريباً عمده قيامها و نهضتهاي اصلاحي و اسلامي را تا انقلاب اسلامي تحت تاثير خود قرارداد. در اين مقاله از روش «تحليل محتوا» و تجزيه و تحليل داده‌ها براساس آن، استفاده شده است.

Ideology plays an important role in the process of movements and is the driving force of many intellectual and political changes in the world. In the Islamic world, too, Islamic ideology has played a major role in contemporary political developments. Given the dominance of the system of domination and isolation of political Islam, this study deals with the origins of the reproduction of this ideology in the present era. It seems that the most important criteria in reviving this political Islam are related to the political actions of Seyyed Jamaluddin Asadabadi. He considered the distance from Islam as the cause of the decline of Muslims and tried to present the religious faith and Islam in the form of ideology and bring it into people's lives. He provided criteria for the revival of Islamic ideology, which paved the way for the renaissance in Iran and the Islamic world, and influenced the major Islamic uprisings and reform movements until the Islamic Revolution.
