چكيده فارسي :
مساله‌ايي كه در اين مقاله مورد بررسي قرار گرفته مي‌شود، بررسي تبيين كاركرد دين بر اساس فضيلت گرايي است. توضيح مطلب اينكه يكي از مسايلي كه دين‌شناسان با آن مواجه هستند؛ اين است كه با وجود مخالفت هايي كه با دين صورت مي‌گيرد، چرا انسان‌ها به آن گرايش دارند، و اينكه دين چه نقش و كاركردي براي انسان دارد؟ در تبيين اين مساله رويكردهاي مختلفي ارايه شده است، يكي از رويكردهايي كه دوباره مورد توجه قرار گرفته شده است، رويكرد فضيلت‌گرايي مي‌باشد. اين رويكرد در حوزه‌هاي مطالعاتي مانند فلسفه علم، معرفت‌شناسي، اخلاق و فلسفه دين كاربرد پيدا كرده است، و برخي از صاحب‌نظران اين رشته‌ها، بر مبناي فضيلت‌گرايي، مسايلي را كه در اين حوزه‌هاي مطالعاتي مطرح است، بر اين اساس مورد بررسي قرار داده‌اند. در اين رويكرد به ويژگي ها، خصوصيات، توانايي ها و استعداد شخصي افراد توجه مي‌شود. بر اساس اين رويكرد فضايل به دو قسم تقسيم مي‌شود: يكي فضايل عقلاني، و ديگري فضايل هنجاري و اخلاقي. با توجه به اينكه در آموزه‌هاي ديني نيز به اين فضايل اشاره شده است، به نظر مي‌رسد بر اساس اين رويكرد مي‌توان بر مبناي «استنباط از راه بهترين تبيين»، كاركرد دين را نيز تبيين كرد. از اين‌رو در اين مقاله سعي شده است بعد از بيان اجمالي اين رويكرد، مساله كاركرد دين بر اين اساس مورد بررسي و تببين قرار گرفته شود.

One of the issues addressed in this article is the study of explaining the function of religion on the basis of virtue, one of the issues that theologians face; That is, despite the opposition to religion, why do people tend to religion, and what is the role and function of religion for human beings? Various approaches have been proposed to explain this issue. One of the approaches that has been reconsidered is the virtuous approach. In this approach, attention is paid to the characteristics, abilities and personal talents of individuals. According to this approach, virtues are divided into two types: one is rational virtues, and the other is normative and moral virtues. Considering that these virtues are also mentioned in religious teachings. It seems that according to this approach, the function of religion can also be explained on the basis of "inference through the best explanation". Therefore, in this article, after briefly stating this approach, the issue of the function of religion has been studied and explained accordingly.
