Spagless technology for one-piece WC casting

The one-piece WC, a solution that incorporates both the WC body and the cistern in a single piece, is typical of the Northern American and Asian markets but is now becoming popular almost everywhere. It comes in different models, some of which are of considerable size and weight (up to 50 kg/piece). In America and Asia the WC is generally made by separating the WC body from the rim, which is then attached at a later stage. At an industrial level, it is not possible to produce these sanitaryware products by manual casting or with old semi-automatic casting bench systems as they are more suitable for smaller items. Moulds for these large articles are so cumber-some and heavy that automatic casting techniques are required to minimise the operator’s physical effort and to optimise quantitative yields.
