“The growth of the Iranian tile and ceramic industry in terms of both quantity and quality in recent decades has enabled it to es-tablish a prominent position within the country’s economy with higher growth rates than other manufacturing sectors. Amongst the various sectors of the building industry, the tile segment is second only to that of cement in terms of investments, turnover and employment, with 90,000 direct jobs and a further 280,000 people employed indirectly in the supply chain (raw materials, intermediate materials, engineering services, technology and the distribution network).
