چكيده فارسي :
اگرچه جهش اخلاقي در رمان و نقد ادبي در دو دهه‌ي اخير از سوي شماري از منتقدين، فيلسوفان و نظريه‌پردازان تصديق مي شود، اما همچنان ماهيت و كم‌وكيف آن نامشخص است و نياز به ارزيابي و تحليلي ويژه دارد. از اين رو، اين مقاله بر آن است تا چهارچوب جديدي از اخلاق را كه حاكي از گذر رمان از پسا‌مدرنيسم به پساپسا‌مدرنيسم است، ارزيابي نمايد. بدين منظور، رمان قهرمانان مرزها (2016) اثر ديو اگرز، نويسنده‌‌ي معاصر آمريكايي، بررسي مي‌شود. در اين رمان دنيايي به‌تصوير كشيده مي‌شود كه در آن مردم با مشكلات دنياي پسامدرن مواجه مي‌شوند: دنيايي در بند خودشيفتگي و مصرف‌گرايي. اما در ادامه‌ي روايت، گردشي شگرف به‌‌سمت اخلاقيات روي مي‌دهد كه تا به حال در رمان پسامدرن ديده نشده و نياز به واكاوي دارد. از آن جا كه اين گردش اخلاقي غايت‌محور و تجربي است نويسندگان اين مقاله برآن هستند در مطالعه‌ي حاضر، اين رمان را از منظر ديدگاه‌هاي اخلاقي جان ديويي، از بنيانگذاران فلسفه‌ي اخلاق پراگماتيستي، بررسي نمايند. اين مقاله نشان مي‌دهد مفاهيم اخلاقي ديويي بر پايه‌ي «سنجش اخلاقي تجربه-محور»، «تصور»، «شرايط محيطي و اجتماعي» و اصل «بهبودگرايي» استوار است. همچنين، تصوراخلاقي ديويي مي‌تواند پاسخ‌گوي تنگناهاي اجتماعي و فردي در بستر جامعه‌ي پسامدرن باشد كه منجر به تكامل اخلاقي، خود‌اصلاحي، بازسازي و ظهور اميد در شخصيت‌هاي رمان مي‌گردد.
چكيده لاتين :
Although a number of theorists, critics, and philosophers have acknowledged the recent ethical turn in the novel and literary criticism since the last two decades, the quiddity of illustrated morality remains vague and needs further research. Thus, the present article endeavors to evaluate the new moral matrix in Heroes of the Frontier (2016) by Dave Eggers, indicating the end of postmodern era. Indeed, this novel demonstrates a world in which people face plights of postmodernism caused by egoism and consumerism. However, in the rest of the novel, a wondrous ethical turn occurs which has never been detected before and needs to be examined in detail. Since this is a situational, experimental, and posteriori morality, the researchers aim to study the aforementioned novel under the light of John Dewey’s pragmatic ethics based on “moral inquiry”, “experience”, “imagination”, “situation”, and “meliorism”. This research also demonstrates that moral imagination could solve the individual and social problems in postmodern society, which can lead to moral evolution, growth, self-correction, reconstruction and advent of hope.
