رونق تجارت و اقتصاد در يك منطقه‌‌‌،‌‌‌ نشان دهنده‌‌‌، امنيت و‌‌‌ آرامش و رفاه شهرنشيني و تمدن‌‌‌ در آن نقطه‌‌‌، مي‌باشد و تا امنيت و نظم در يك كشور يا منطقه برقرار نباشد‌‌‌،‌‌‌ تجارت و اقتصاد و در نتيجه تمدن شكوفا نمي‌شود. هدف اين تحقيق بررسي جايگاه امنيت ايالت كرمان در دوران باستان بر رونق اقتصادي است. روش: روش به كار رفته در اين تحقيق از نوع كيفي با استفاده از مطالعات اسنادي برپايه روش تاريخ نگاري مبتني بر تحليل محتوا متون تاريخي مرتبط با تاريخ اقتصادي و امنيتي ايالات كرمان در دوران باستان صورت پذيرفته است. نتيجه: رواج تجارت و بازرگاني در يك كشور و ارتباط تجاري ميان شهرهاي مختلف آن نشان دهنده‌‌‌‌‌‌،‌‌‌ رونق‌‌‌‌‌‌،‌‌‌ رفاه و امنيت اقتصادي و شهرنشيني مردمان آن كشور مي‌باشد. بر همين اساس در ايران باستان‌‌‌‌‌‌،‌‌‌ نيز هر زمان كه دولتي يكپارچه با تشكيلات متمركز و قوي به وجود مي‌آمد‌‌‌‌‌‌،‌‌‌ در بسياري شهرها روابط تجاري رونق فراواني مي‌گرفت و ايجاد راه‌هاي ارتباطي بر اين رونق دامن مي‌زد. كرمان به عنوان يكي از پنج ايالت بزرگ ايران از باستان تا‌‌‌ قرون نخستين اسلامي از اين قاعده مستثني نبود و نقش به سزايي در رونق اقتصادي و تجاري ايفا مي‌كرده كه لازمه رونق اقتصادي در ابتداي امر تأمين امنيت راه‌ها و مسيرهاي بازرگانان بوده است، كه هر زمان رونق اقتصادي همراه بوده، نشان از امنيت بالاي آن دوران بوده است.

The prosperity of trade and economy in a region indicates the security, tranquility and prosperity of urbanization and civilization in that area, and unless there is security and order in a country or region, trade and economy and consequently civilization will not flourish. . The purpose of this study is to investigate the security position of Kerman province in ancient times on economic prosperity. Method: The method used in this research is qualitative using documentary studies based on historiographical method based on content analysis of historical texts related to the economic and security history of Kerman in ancient times. Conclusion: The prevalence of trade and commerce in a country and the trade relations between its different cities show prosperity, prosperity and economic security and urbanization of the people of that country. Accordingly, in ancient Iran, whenever there was a unified government with a centralized and strong organization, trade relations flourished in many cities and the creation of communication channels fostered this prosperity. Kerman, as one of the five great states of Iran from ancient times to the first centuries of Islam, was no exception to this rule and played an important role in economic and commercial prosperity that was necessary for economic prosperity in the beginning to ensure the roads and routes of merchants. Economic prosperity was associated with the high security of the time.
