چكيده فارسي :
مدخل امام «علي » در دائرهالمعارف قرآن لايدن، توسط «علي‌سلطان آساني»؛ مسلمان اهل سنت اهلِ نايروبي، به نگارش درآمده است. اين مدخل، ضمن گزارشِ درست برخي مطالب، همچون؛ برخورداري امام علي از مقام امامت و علم باطني، حاوي نكات نادرستي، چون نسبت‌دهي رهبري صوفيه به آن حضرت، نيز از وجود نام و فضايل امام علي، در متنِ مصحف حضرت علي و انتساب برنتافتن مصحف عثماني از سوي شيعيان تا قرن چهارم، است.
پژوهه حاضر، با روش توصيفي- تحليلي، به بررسي و تحليل رويكرد و مطالب اين مدخل پرداخته و بر اساس آموزه‌هاي قرآن و روايات، صحت و سقمِ آن را، باز نمايانده است و ميزان همآوايي آن را با منابع و مكتوبات شيعي، اهل‌سنت و مستشرقان، آشكار ساخته‌است. يافته‌هاي تحقيق، نشانگر آن است كه نويسنده، گرچه در بيانِ برخي مطالب، جانب واقعيت را پاس داشته، اما در پارهاي از موارد، دچار چالش‌هايي همچون عدم جامعيت، اختصارگويي زيان‌آور، شناساندنِ امام‌علي به پيشوايي باطنيه و متصوفان و.... شده است. اين مدخل امام علي، با مدخل هاي ديگر لايدن و مكتوباتِ مستقل استشراقي، داراي همآوايي و ارجاعات فراوان به آنها است؛ ولي بر خلاف انتظار، به هيچ يك از منابع روايي، تفسيري و تاريخي شيعه، ارجاعي ندارد و هم آوايي خاصي با منابعِ معتبر اهل سنت نيز در آن، مشهود نيست.

This entry, while correctly reporting some content, such as; Imam Ali (AS) has the position of Imamate and esoteric knowledge, contains incorrect points, such as attributing the Sufi leadership to him, also the existence of the name and virtues of Imam Ali (AS) in the text of Imam Ali (AS) and the rejection of the Ottoman Qur'an by Shiites It is the fourth century. The present study, with a descriptive-analytical method, has studied and analyzed the approach and contents of this entry and based on the teachings of the Qur'an and hadiths, has shown its accuracy and validity and its degree of harmony with Shiite, Sunni and Orientalist sources and writings. Is obvious. The findings of the research indicate that the author, although he was on the side of reality in expressing some issues, but in some cases, he faced challenges such as lack of comprehensiveness, harmful brevity, introducing Imam Ali (AS) to his esoteric leadership and mystics, etc. .. has been. This entry of Imam Ali (AS), along with other entries of Leiden and independent Oriental writings, has many consonants and references to them; But contrary to expectations, it does not refer to any of the Shiite narrative, interpretive and historical sources, and there is no specific harmony with the authentic Sunni sources.
