كتاب تمدن و ملالت هاي آن توسط زيگموند فرويد در 1929ميلادي/1308شمسي نگاشته شد و در 1930ميلادي/1309شمسي به زبان آلماني منتشر گرديد و آن­چنان مورد استقبال قرار گرفت كه در كمتر از يك سال، به چاپ دوم رسيد و در بسياري از كشورهاي جهان انتشار يافت و از­اين ­رو، به يكي از آثار پرفروش بدل شد با اين وصف، كمتر شاهد نقد علمي آن در مجامع آكادميك بوده ­ايم در­حالي­كه نقد علمي از اين اثر، موجب پيشرفت آن و نويسنده و رفع اشكالات آن مي­شود، در واقع، ارائۀ نقد علمي، كمكي است به خلق نمونه­ هاي كيفي­ تري كه به رشته تحرير در­مي آيند. در برخي از موارد نيز، نقد يك اثر به درك بهتر آن كمك شاياني مي­ كند. در نقد اين كتاب، از تلفيق روش كاوش­گري انتقادي و نقادي آموزشي استفاده شد كه شامل مراحل سه گانۀ: الف) توصيف و تشريح كتاب، ب) تفسير كتاب و ج) ارزيابي و تعيين كارايي كتاب است. با توجه ­به اين­كه كتاب تمدن و ملالت­ هاي آن از جمله پرفروش ­ترين و مورد استقبال­ ترين كتاب­هاي فرويد محسوب مي­ شود، يافته­ هاي پژوهش نشان داد اين اثر نيز مانند ساير آثار، داراي نقاط قوت و ضعف بوده كه بخشي از آن، متأثر از دورۀ زماني و شرايط حاكم بر آن زمان است.

Presenting a scientific critique helps to create better quality examples that can be written. In the critique of this book, a combination of intensive exploratory and educational critique methods was used, which includes three stages: a) description of the book, b) book interpretation, and c) evaluation and determination of the book's efficiency. Considering that the book of civilization and its boredoms, which is one of the best-selling and most popular books of Freud, the research findings showed that this work, like other works, has strengths and weaknesses, some of which, It is affected by the period and the prevailing conditions.
