منطقه خليج فارس جايگاه بالايي از ديد ژيوپليتيكي و ژيواستراتژيكي دارد. كشور ايران بعنوان مهمترين كشور منطقه، از نظر جغرافيايي و فرهنگي در طول تاريخ تكاملي خود همواره بر منطقه تاثير گذار بوده و از موقعيت ژيوپليتيكي خاصي برخوردار است. از جمله اقدامات بايسته اي كه ايران در منطقه ي خليج فارس براي انجام آنها بازيگري اصلي را برعهده دارد؛ تامين انرژي جهان و همكاري اقتصادي زير بنايي، همكاري هاي امنيتي اتحاد چند جانبه گرايي در سطح منطقه اي و بين المللي، اطمينان به مشاركت منصفانه در نظام تصميم گيري است كه بدون مشاركت و حضور مستقيم ايران در اين منطقه همواره دچار چالش جدي خواهند بود. بدون حضور ايران در خليج فارس به دليل عدم وجود نيروي مخالف در مقابل نيروهاي فرامنطقه اي، خليج فارس ماهيت خود را در زمينه تسلط بر دنياي صنعتي از دست خواهد داد و استعمار كامل آن ميسر خواهد بود. بنابراين، نقش وحضور ايران براي تثبيت هويت و ماهيت منطقه ژيوپليتيك خليج فارس و سرزمين هاي پيرامون آن امري لازم و ضروري به نظر مي رسد.تحقيق حاضر با روش توصيفي_تحليلي درصدد بيان نقش و جايگاه ايران در منطقه خليج فارس با رويكردي ژيوپليتيكي است. به طور كلي ايران، در منطقه داراي نقش اساسي است كه در ابعاد اقتصادي، سياسي و امنيتي خود را نشان مي دهد و در حال حاضر مي توان گفت: حضور ايران در منطقه دو جانبه- اقتصادي و متحدكننده-است. يعني ايران در جهت ايجاد اتحاد كشورهاي منطقه و مبارزه با چالش ها بايد تلاشي گسترده داشته باشد.

Geopolitical and geostrategic position in the Persian Gulf region has high visibility. Research that is fundamental and descriptive methods and data were collected through library and computer is done, attempts to show the role of Iran in the Persian Gulf is geopolitical.
