Visual Narratology: Narration in Still Images (Painting) from the Perspective of Art His tory and Narratology

تمايز رسانۀ زباني و بصري، پارادايمي است كه نخستين بار توسط لسينگ در تاريخ هنر مطرح شد. ماهيت زمان بنياد شعر در بيان متوالي رويدادها و ماهيت مكان بنياد نقاشي در توصيف هم زمان پديده ها، هنوز موجب اختلاف نظر روايت شناسان زباني و مورخين هنر در داستان  تصاوير منفرد است. اين پژوهش به روشي توصيفي-  تحليلي و گردآوري داده هاي اسنادي، با هدف بررسي شيوه هاي بازنمايي زمان روايي در تصاوير منفرد (نقاشي)، سعي دارد به اين دو پرسش پاسخ دهد: آيا تصاوير فقط لحظه اي واحد از يك رويداد را باز مي نمايانند؟ آيا در مقايسه با داستان  زباني، داستان  بصري فاقد معيارهاي اصلي روايت است؟ در نتيجه پژوهش حاضر با تمركز بر عناصر سازندۀ روايت و تطبيق معيارهاي اصلي تعريف روايت در رسانۀ زباني و ديداري بروي يك نمونۀ مطالعاتي، ثانياً با طرح نظريه هاي ادراكي درباب زمان و حركت در تصاوير منفرد، و با تأكيد بر استقلال زبان بصري و نقش بيننده در فرآيند ادراكي، نشان مي دهد ميان معيارهاي اصلي تعريف روايت به ويژه عنصر «زمان» در روايت زباني و روايت ديداري تفاوت معناداري وجود ندارد. بنابراين آثار تصويري بنابر ماهيت خود، مقولۀ زمان روايي رويداد را به طريقي متفاوت با فرآورده هاي زباني بازنمايي مي كنند.

Linguis tic and visual media differentiation is a paradigm firs t introduced by Lessing in art his tory. The Time-Based nature of Poetry in the sequence of events and the Place-Based nature of Painting in the simultaneous description of phenomena, s till cause disagreement among linguis tic narratologis ts and art his torians in the narration of single images. This research tries to answer these two ques tions in a descriptive-analytical way and collecting documentary data, with the aim of examining the methods of representing the narrative time in single images (paintings): Do images represent only a single moment of an event? Compared to linguis tic s torytelling, does visual s torytelling lack the basic criteria of narrative? As a result of the present s tudy, focusing on the cons tituent elements of narrative and applying the main criteria for defining narrative in linguis tic and visual media on a s tudy sample, secondly by proposing perceptual theories about time and motion in individual images, and emphasizing visual language independence and viewer role In the perceptual process, it shows that there is no significant difference between the main criteria for defining narrative, especially the element of “time” in linguis tic narrative and visual narrative. Thus, visual works, by their very nature, represent the category of event narrative time in a different way from linguis tic products.
