گسترش مطالعات و پژوهش‌ها در زمينه ي يادگيري و استراتژي‌‌‌هاي آموزشي سبب شده تا محيط‌هاي ياد گيري جايگزين محيط هاي آموزشي شوند. در اين مقاله الگويي براي طراحي يادگيري مبتني بر يادگيري زايشي ارائه شده است اين الگو بر نقش فعال يادگيرنده در جريان يادگيري با استفاده از خلق رابطه ها و معناها تاكيد داردو داراي مراحل زير مي‌باشد: تجزيه و تحليل ، تدارك مولفه‌ها ، بيان مفهوم و بافت آن يا ارائه موضوع ، بيان پيش‌نيازها ، توليد معنا و رابطه‌ها ، انتقال يادگيري ، ارزشيابي ، منابع و ابزارهاي كسب اطلاعات ، تسهيل‌گري و پشتيباني و در نهايت توليد دانش كه به عنوان درك عميق يادگيرنده از موضوع است.
