Relationship between Mother’s Mood and Attachment with Children’s Educational and Behavioral Problems: Mediating Role of Mother-Child Relationship

هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسي رابطه خلق و دلبستگي مادر و مشكلات آموزشي و رفتاري فرزندان با ميانجي‌گري رابطه‌ي مادر-كودك در كودكان 6 تا 12 سال بود. مطالعه به روش همبستگي و با نمونه‌گيري در دسترس انجام شد. از بين جامعه مورد مطالعه كه شامل مادران كودكاني بودند كه فرزندان آنها در فعاليت‌هاي فوق برنامه ‌شهر كرج( رجائي شهر) مشاركت داشتند تعداد 214 مادر به پرسشنامه ارزيابي رابطه مادر-كودك راس (1961)؛ دلبستگي كولينز و ريد (1990)؛ استرس، اضطراب و افسردگي لويباند و لويباند (1998)؛ و مشكلات رفتاري راتر (1964) پاسخ دادند. يافته‌هاي پژوهش به روش تحليل مسير با استفاده از نرم افزار ليزرل تحليل شد. نتايج نشان داد دو متغير خلق و دلبستگي مادر به طور مستقيم با مشكلات آموزشي و رفتاري فرزندان رابطه معناداري دارند. اين در حالي است كه متغير ميانجي يعني رابطه مادر–فرزند ارتباط معنا‌داري با مشكلات آموزشي و رفتاري كودكان ندارد. در ضمن دو متغير مطرح شده توانسته اند 55 درصد از مشكلات آموزشي و رفتاري كودكان را تبيين نمايند. با توجه به يافته‌هاي پژوهش مي‌توان نتيجه گرفت كه از جمله عوامل موثر در مداخلات در كاهش مشكلات آموزشي و رفتاري فرزندان، علاوه بر مهارت‌هاي فرزند‌پروري، مداخله جهت بهبود خلق و مشكلات دلبستگي‌ مادران مي‌باشد.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between mood and attachment of a mother with the educational and behavioral problems of 6-12 year-old children with the mediating role of mother-child relationship. The study was performed by correlational method with available sampling. Out of the population of the study, the mothers whose children participated in extra activities in Rajaii Shahr, Karaj, Iran, 214 mothers answered Mother-Child Relationship evaluation questionnaire (Robert M. Roth, 1990), Attachment Scale (Collins & Read), Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (Lovibond and Lovibond, 1998), behavioral inventory (Rotter, 1964). Findings were analyzed by path analysis using LISREL software. The results showed that the two variables of mother's mood and attachment are directly related to children's educational and behavioral problems. However, the mediating variable, i.e. mother-child relationship, has no significant relationship with children's educational and behavioral problems. In addition, the two variables have been able to explain 55% of children's educational and behavioral problems. According to the research findings, it can be concluded that in addition to parenting skills, intervention to improve mood and attachment problems of mothers can be considered among the effective factors in interventions in reducing children's educational and behavioral problems.
