مسئله ارتباط امر متغير با ثابت، يكي از پيچيده‌ترين مسائل فلسفي است؛ چراكه متغير از جهتي كه متغير است، نمي‌تواند با ذات ثابت خداوند متعال در ارتباط باشد. ازاين‌رو بسياري از فيلسوفان مسلمان كوشيده‌اند تا وَجه ثباتي براي متغير در نظر گيرند. به‌رغم نكات ارزنده‌اي كه پيشنهادهاي ايشان براي گره گشايي از معضل يادشده دارند، اما هيچ‌يك به‌تنهايي نمي‌توانند اين چالش را حل نمايند؛ چراكه در ثبات و تغير، نسبت به غير لحاظ نشده است؛ پس نمي‌توان براي امر متغير دو چهره وجودي در نظر گرفت كه از منظر امور ثابت، ثابت و از منظر امور متغير، متغير باشد. آيت‌الله جوادي آملي خوانش جديدي در گره-گشايي از اين مسئله دارند كه بر تشكيك وجود استوار است. برابر اين ديدگاه، همه مراتب وجود به ثباتي نفس‌الامري و غير نسبي متصف هستند كه برپايه مرتبه‌ وجودي آنها شدت و ضعف مي‌يابد. ضعف ثبات در مراتب پايين وجود، مايه شكل‌گيري مفهوم منافق «تغير» از اين مراتب مي‌گردد. نوشتار پيش رو با هدف حل نهائي مسئله ربط متغير به ثابت بر اساس اصول حكمت متعاليه، نخست به تحليل و بررسي اجمالي آراي مهم حكيمان مسلمان پرداخته و سپس با واكاوي ديدگاه استاد جوادي آملي، به برتري‌هاي ديدگاه ايشان نسبت به اقوال ديگر اشاره مي‌كند.

Ayatollah Javadi Amoli has a new reading in untying this issue which is based on the gradation of existence. According to this view, all levels of existence are characterized by relative and non-relative self-stability, which is intensified and weakened based on their level of existence
